Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones holds the ball up after scoring a touchdown during a National Football League game against the Houston Texans, Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Jacksonville, Fla. Jones' cocaine charge will be heard in drug court rather than in the regular criminal system and will allow him to keep any conviction off his record and the felony charge will be dismissed if he completes the progam.

A judge allowed Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Matt Jones to enter a drug treatment program Monday after being arrested on a cocaine charge earlier this year. The decision by Washington County Circuit Judge Mary Ann Gunn means the former Arkansas quarterback could have his charge dismissed if he completes the treatment.

Tommy Bowden is out as Clemson's football coach, according to an athletic department official who spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press on Monday Oct. 13, 2008, because an announcement has not been made.

Tommy Bowden is out as Clemson's football coach. Bowden and the school split Monday in the middle of his 10th season, which started with the Tigers ranked No. 9 and picked to win the Atlantic Coast Conference. But an opening 34-10 rout by Alabama and recent losses to Maryland and Wake Forest raised calls again for Bowden's ouster despite a recent contract extension.
